What is a MUG CLUB you ask?

It’s only the coolest way to be a part of your favorite cidery. The Mug Club is a year-long membership for Night Owl lovers, complete with free cider, perks, private events, and, of course, your very own handmade mug. Memberships for the Mug Club at our Ventura Taproom are now open for a limited time! And since you signed up for our email list, you get first dibs!

How does it work?

1. Click here to sign up and pay your dues!

2. We’ll confirm your membership and collect some other info via email

3. Attend the Mug Picking Party (mid-May) to select from the amazing handmade options, take home your Swag Bag

4. If you can’t make the party, select from the available mugs the next time you visit the Night Owl Tap Room and pick up your Swag Bag

5. Enjoy the benefits of the MUG CLUB ALL YEAR!

Each New Mug Club membership includes:

• A handmade mug created by Cheri Owen Ceramics, which will stay on the shelves at the taproom for your use only

• Exclusive Night Owl Swag Bag filled with stickers, a limited edition 2025 Mug Club t-shirt, and a Night Owl Goblet to take home!

• 16 oz mug pours for the same price as our usual 12 oz pours

• Unlimited free mug pours on your birthday!

• Mug Club Mondays: an additional $2 off pints for you and a friend!

Please note that membership is non-transferable – your mug will be linked to your ID, and you can’t allow friends, relatives, neighbors, etc. to use your membership. Your membership is valid from 6/1/2025 - 5/31/2026, at which point members will have the option to renew.

Meet the Artist: Cheri Owen

As a blind artist, Cheri Owen’s pedagogy is centered on mindfulness, awareness and letting go of the attachment to visuality and its assumed outcomes. Owen produces mixed media ceramic sculpture, functional wares, and prints. With a penchant for tactile mediums like ceramics and printmaking, she aspires to share her work with a world she can no longer see, as a means of touching people emotionally through deep, piercing, poetic phrases, and the beauty of trees, birds, and the natural world, all of which she can still hear, deeply and fully.

Here is a small sampling of the available mugs. At our Mug Picking Party, members will select a mug from the many options in order of sign up… the earlier you join the earlier you get to pick! JOIN NOW!

If you can’t make the Mug Picking Party in May don’t fret! Just visit the Tap Room any time after and select from the remaining mugs. Every single mug is amazing and unique so there is bound to be something you love!

Your mug is yours and yours alone to use in the Tap Room. It will stay at the Tap Room ready for your exclusive use when you visit. You’ll be part of the cool kids club when you walk in and we fill your 16 oz mug with your favorite Night Owl Cider for the price of a 12 oz glass!
